About Us
JFRD History was conceptualized in March of 2024 as a place to document, share, and enjoy all things in regard to the rich history of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department. Here you will find photos, videos, images of newspaper clippings, and other various items of historical note. Of particular importance to us is remembering our fallen brethren and their stories which are memorialized here. This site is developed and maintained by JFRD Public Affairs Officer John Bracey, Captain Nick Tison (JFRD Ret.), and Captain Chris McKeown. This site is unofficial and in no way represents the official views of the City of Jacksonville or The Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department.
